Our No.52 Pavilion Café at Boxhagener Platz is a community space run entirely by volunteers. The café serves as a welcoming meeting point for people from the community to come together over a cup of coffee. Its location, however, is in an area with a diverse and dynamic mix of individuals, including some living in precarious circumstances. While these individuals are not the primary focus of the café, their presence is part of the environment, and we work to ensure a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in co-creating this balance and fostering a positive experience for all visitors.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an organized and friendly Cafe Manager to oversee the smooth daily operation of our coffee shop. You’ll ensure it’s a warm, welcoming space for visitors, manage supplies, and coordinate with volunteers to keep things running beautifully.
Responsibilities:
In order to apply for the volunteering positionit is mandatory to have participated in one workshop.

Oversee day-to-day coffee shop operations

Create a welcoming environment for guests and community members

Coordinate schedules for volunteer baristas and helpers

Monitor stock and order supplies when needed

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the space

Support in planning small events or themed days at the coffee shop

Previous café or hospitality experience is a plus (but not required)
