Machine Operator – Composite Manufacturing (all genders)
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. Performance is built in the process, not just in the design. A stable winding process is essential for producing high-quality components. You operate filament winding machines to manufacture high‑pressure composite tanks, ensuring components are produced to specification, processes remain stable, and quality stays consistently high.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate filament winding machines, including process parameter monitoring
- Perform pre- and post-processing tasks (e.g., vacuum bagging, curing preparation, unpacking)
- Ensure stable machine operation and prevent production downtime
- Inspect components during and after production
- Never pass on defective or uninspected parts
- Report process deviations immediately
- Follow defined work instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and keep the workplace organized
- Work closely with QA and cross‑functional teams
- Communicate issues and deviations openly and early
- Identify process deviations and contribute improvement ideas
Your Profile
- Experience in manufacturing, CNC/machine operation, metalworking, plastics, automotive, or a comparable production environment
- Technical training is an advantage but not required
- Hands‑on mindset with a precise and structured way of working
- Strong understanding of quality standards and manufacturing tolerances
- Willingness to work shifts
- Basic technical understanding
