Your skills:

Your Tasks:

We are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to connect with our colleagues and help them take full advantage of the company's benefits programs. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of all employee benefits, retirement programs, and leave administration for Hemmersbach North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for colleagues with questions on benefits.
  • Answer calls and respond to colleagues inquiries with professional etiquette.
  • Help colleagues take full advantage of the company-sponsored benefits.
  • Enroll/terminate benefit coverage for new hires/terminations.
  • Coordinate COBRA to ensure appropriate continuation coverage and billing.
  • Place colleagues on Leave of Absence and return from Leave of Absence on internal databases.
  • Answering employee questions about the open enrollment process and benefit changes.
  • Processing employee benefits enrollments and ensuring that they are accurate and complete.
  • Developing and implementing a communication plan to notify employees of the open enrollment period and the benefits changes that will be taking effect.
  • Work with carriers to ensure all information is complete and accurate (address missing information, enrollment/term information, etc.).
  • Provide detailed information about policies and products.
  • Manage and help maintain the company's internal benefits databases.
  • Conduct Benefits Orientation in new hire orientation.
  • Support benefits for all AMS regions (US, LATAM and Canada).
  • Support with Workers compensation and FMLA.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent education.
  • 2+ years in experience working as a benefits representative.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of database software.
  • In-depth knowledge of all benefits including Medical, Dental, 401K, Vision, Life, & Accidental.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with benefits software such as ADP, Workday, or Oracle.
  • Fluent and proficient in English, both written and oral.
