Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated SCM Manager to oversee and manage our purchasing, logistics, and warehousing activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of export-import activities and regulations in India and hands-on experience with various ERP systems. This is a critical role for an individual contributor who can independently handle all responsibilities related to supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.

• Logistics:
  • Plan and manage logistics operations, including transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with transporters and freight forwarders to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipping.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations and documentation requirements.

• Warehousing:
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management and storage.
  • Implement effective inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory data.
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

• Export-Import Activities:
  • Stay updated on Indian export-import regulations and ensure company compliance.
  • Prepare and process all necessary documentation for international shipments.
  • Liaise with customs officials and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Handle any issues related to import/export activities promptly and efficiently.

• ERP Systems:
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage and streamline supply chain activities.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within the ERP system.
  • Generate reports and analyse data to inform decision-making processes.
  • Provide training and support to other team members on ERP system usage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of export-import activities and regulations in India.
• Hands-on experience with various ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
