Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Define and Develop robust testing strategy, architecture & process
- Design & build test automation frameworks
- Improve the test coverage of existing solutions by applying right test methodologies thereby improving the overall tool quality
- Gain understanding of the solution and identify new tests, review test scenarios from junior test engineers, review test code, test libraries etc
- Ensuring zero bug slippage for all releases
- Establish and enforce test implementation standards, coding standards for automation scripts, and best practices across different products
- Identify testing risks early, define quality gates, and ensure the testing approach supports business objectives
- Mentor/Coach junior test engineers/developers on testing concepts
- Define and architect the complete test methodology and infrastructure to enable the test team to develop the tests and improve the overall test coverage ensuring zero miss.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, stakeholders, product owners, technical leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality software
Ensure agile based parallel testing of all features so that no features are released w/o system testing
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Experience in architecting test frameworks and developing infrastructure for testing complex software tools.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Testing,
- Several years of work experience, in testing software tools
- Solid understanding of complete STLC life cycle.
- Excellent understanding of various testing concepts like Test Identification techniques, Test Specification, Test Plan, RTM,
- Excellent understanding of different test methodologies and concepts like functional, non-functional, white box/black box, unit (Test Driven Development), integration, component, and system testing.
- Understanding of different test execution types like Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Stress etc
- Solid understanding of Defect Lifecycle management using Jira.
- Certification from Testing Bodies like ISTQB
- Good experience of working with code quality metrics like code coverage, static code analysis etc
- Good understanding of CI/CD flows with Jenkins
- Good Understanding of Quality KPIs
- Automated GUI Testing experience is an added advantage.
- Very good programming skills with focus on Python/C++/C# in UNIX & Windows environments.
- Very good problem-solving skills
- EDA Experience is an added advantage
- Familiarity with agile software development techniques
- Ability to drive, lead and take ownership
