My client is a global technology business supplying engineered components to major automotive and industrial customers. They are looking for an experienced commercial professional to grow strategic accounts while actively winning new business.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Growing strategic automotive accounts and developing long-term customer plans
- Identifying and winning new customers, markets and platform opportunities
- Building relationships with engineering, purchasing and senior stakeholders
- Leading opportunities through to new platform wins and multi-year agreements
- Working with internal teams to develop customer solutions and maximise account growth
- Managing commercial considerations including pricing, costs, investment, margins and lifecycle profitability
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in automotive component sales, ideally within safety-critical applications
- A strong hunter mentality and demonstrable success winning new business
- Experience securing new platforms, contracts or significant customer programmes
- Strong strategic account management and relationship-building skills
- Good commercial and financial understandingThe confidence and drive to create opportunities rather than simply manage existing accounts
