Solution Architect – Workplace & Infrastructure

Job Description

Do you have an eye for the big picture and a passion for the digital workplace from the Microsoft Cloud?

• You advise our customers on modern workplace, infrastructure, and operational solutions based on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure (including Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop).
• You analyse existing environments, develop target architectures, operating models, governance concepts, cloud strategies, and roadmaps for modern cloud and hybrid solutions.
• You accompany tender processes / RfPs regarding presales activities; you support qualification, take responsibility for solution design, and prepare calculations and offer documents.
• You present solution designs at management and C-level.
• You recognise new technological opportunities early and actively bring innovations from the Microsoft ecosystem into customer projects and service offerings.
• You support the further development of our standardised service offerings regarding service standards, best practices, maintainability and scalability, operating models, and SLAs.

We expect from you:

• A completed university degree (FH or Uni) in computer science, business informatics, or business administration.
• 3-5+ years of experience as a solution architect at a managed IT services provider with high consulting competence and corresponding experience in presales, tender processes, and bids.
• Proven experience in the design and operation of Microsoft-based workplace and infrastructure solutions with enthusiasm for modern technologies and innovations.
• Very good understanding of IT service management and managed services, outsourcing, and operating models.
• You have strong communication, analytical, and conceptual skills and know how to communicate and present complex matters understandably to customers, management, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
• High initiative, pragmatic solution orientation, and the ambition to create sustainable added value for customers.
• Excellent German and very good English skills.
• Work location Bern, Zurich, or Basel as well as willingness to travel within Switzerland.
