Lecturer for Art Historical and Artistic Education (25-30%)
The University is looking for a lecturer from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement. This position is aimed at artists with an art historical or art theoretical background, proven continuous exhibition activity, and active involvement in the practical field. The portfolio should demonstrate through own projects a pronounced interest in spatial and object issues or in drawing as an independent artistic expression. The successful candidate will further develop and implement the art historical or art theoretical education of our students, and foster artistic‑creative skills within the team. The role requires the professional and higher‑education didactic prerequisites to plan, structure, and conduct courses. Courses are generally developed and realised in teams, with experience in interdisciplinary collaboration being important. They may take place weekly in a cursory manner or as quarterly projects. Team meetings, internal training, and programme‑specific events are part of the employment. The lecturer actively shapes the teaching offers and makes a valuable contribution to the development of the programme, working within a dynamic team and a contemporary study programme. The salary is based on the salary regulations of the Canton of Zurich.
