The position is aimed at an initiative personality who picks up new ideas, develops projects and brings people together. The position offers the opportunity to actively shape the future development of Swiss cattle breeding and to build a broad network in research and practice.
Your tasks
- You recognise new developments in animal breeding, research and data analysis and examine their benefits for Swiss cattle breeding.
- You develop new project ideas together with partners and lead them from the initial idea to implementation.
- You coordinate projects with breeding organisations, research partners and other actors in the Swiss agricultural sector.
- You maintain and expand a national and international network.
- You represent Qualitas in working groups, expert committees and at events.
- You support the further development of services and evaluations in the field of animal breeding and genetics.
- You collaborate on scientific reports, project proposals and specialist publications.
What you should bring
- University degree in agronomy, animal science or a comparable field
- Interest in animal breeding, agriculture and innovation
- Enjoy connecting people and organisations
- Independent, structured and initiative-driven working style
- Good communication skills and confident appearance
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland and abroad
Advantageous
- Knowledge of Swiss agriculture or animal breeding
- Experience in project management
- Experience in a scientific environment
- Knowledge in data analysis, statistics or programming (e.g. R or Python)
- Experience with funding projects and research cooperations

Qualitas AG Zug develops data and information systems, genetic evaluations and innovative services for Swiss livestock farming. Together with breeding organisations, research partners and other actors, we create the basis for well-founded breeding and management decisions.
