Best known for protecting the majority of the world's banknotes, today our solutions are run on a state-of-the-art material and digital platform and cover mainly revenue mobilisation, healthcare security, brand protection and identity verification. Chemist – Machine-Readable Features Laboratory The Chemist is a technical contributor within the Machine Readable Features Laboratory, supporting the research, development, formulation, characterization, and validation of machine-readable features used for authentication and traceability applications. The role covers a broad portfolio of security technologies, including functional materials, pigments, inks, and associated measurement methods (optical, physical, chemical, and functional), and combines hands on laboratory work, ink formulation, and experimental characterization in close collaboration within the whole department. ROLE Contribute to the research, development and optimization of security features, including materials, pigments, and ink systems for machine readable and authentication applications. Perform ink formulation work, including dispersion, stability optimization, and performance evaluation on various substrates. Support the integration of functional security materials into different ink platforms and printing processes. Design and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate feature performance, robustness, and reproducibility. Perform measurements and characterization using a wide range of laboratory equipment (e.g. optical, physical, chemical, functional, or instrumental techniques, not limited to IR/optics). Participate in the validation of new materials, methods, and processes, contributing to industrial readiness. Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and propose technical improvements. Draft technical reports, experimental summaries, and presentations for internal R
