h3Specialised Foreman or Specialised Forewoman for Works and Irrigation at 100% /h3 h3Your mission and responsibilities /h3 ul liOrganise and carry out landscaping projects requiring large-scale resources (heavy goods vehicle, excavator, etc.) throughout the parks, squares and green spaces of the City of Geneva, according to the planning of the principal foreman. /li liAccording to the schedule, organise work based on seasonal imperatives (medium term) and weather conditions (short term). /li liEfficiently allocate machinery, supplies and human resources. /li liOrganise and carry out work on irrigation systems: design irrigation circuits according to the service’s needs; install new systems or modify existing irrigation circuits. /li liParticipate in needs analysis, cost estimation and monitoring of expenses related to irrigation installations and equipment. /li liMonitor water consumption, analyse discrepancies or abnormal usage and implement measures to optimise resource use. /li liEnsure troubleshooting of irrigation systems or mandate contractors for this purpose (diagnosis and repair). /li liProvide technical support to staff involved in irrigation work and train neighbourhood teams on installed systems. /li liControl the proper execution of work carried out by the team or external contractors. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liHold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a horticulturist (landscaping option). /li liHave at least 5 years of professional experience in the learned profession. /li liHave experience in team supervision (foreman’s certificate: an asset). /li liKnow various automatic irrigation systems and be able to perform hydraulic assemblies and electrical connections. /li liBe able to read irrigation plans, prepare technical sketches and describe work. /li liPossess a valid driving licence (depending on the type of vehicle and/or machinery used). /li liBe in good physical condition and able to work in a team and outdoors in all weather. /li liDemonstrate precision, rigour and good observational skills. /li liBe autonomous and able to work in a team. /li liWear the work uniform defined by the service. /li /ul pAs part of its policy on gender equality, the City of Geneva wishes to promote diversity in all administrative services.
