Operational Manager for Steam and Utilities Production
As the operational manager for steam and utilities production, you assist the department head in the daily management of activities. A true coordination point between production teams, support services, and partners, you directly contribute to the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of all installations necessary for the production and distribution of steam and utilities within the Monthey industrial park.
- Coordinate operational activities related to the production and distribution of steam and utilities, in compliance with safety and environmental protection requirements
- Develop and coordinate operational planning with production teams and support services to ensure continuity and reliability of installations
- Monitor operational performance using relevant indicators, analyse discrepancies, and propose necessary actions
- Prepare decision-making materials and facilitate the department head’s arbitrations
- Foster collaboration between teams and ensure smooth information flow among all stakeholders
- Identify operational skill needs and contribute, together with the department head and team leader, to maintaining and developing the expertise required for operations
- Ensure availability and updating of operational documentation
- Coordinate operational interfaces with internal and external partners
- Lead continuous improvement plans and coordinate the implementation of corrective measures in case of deviations
- Ensure, when necessary, continuity of operational coordination in the absence of the department head, within defined delegations
- A degree in engineering (EPF or HES) or equivalent training
- Proven experience in an industrial environment in the field of energy production or utilities
- An open personality towards change and innovation, capable of taking initiatives and adapting to an evolving context
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with various partners
- Ability to overcome operational challenges, being action-, results-, and continuous improvement-oriented
- Ability to organise resources, prioritise, and make pragmatic decisions
