Responsibilities
- Designing electrical control cabinets for low and high-voltage applications
- Producing complete electrical documentation using EPLAN, including schematics, terminal plans, cable lists and bills of materials
- Building, wiring and integrating electrical control systems
- Conducting electrical risk assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant German and European standards
- Supporting commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and validation of electrical systems
- Advising on electrical architecture, grounding, EMC, protection concepts and safe system design
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate technical requirements into practical electrical solutions
- Maintaining structured engineering documentation and supporting continuous improvement of engineering standards
- Supporting laboratory and on-site installation activities when required
What We're Looking For
- Completed apprenticeship or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline
- At least 3 years' experience designing, building and commissioning electrical control cabinets
- Strong hands‑on experience with EPLAN
- Excellent understanding of industrial electrical systems and control panels
- Experience with PLC hardware, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, safety systems and instrumentation
- Ability to read, produce and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Practical experience with wiring, cable routing, shielding and professional assembly techniques
- Strong knowledge of standards such as DIN VDE 0100, DIN EN 61439, DIN EN 60204-1 and DGUV Vorschrift 3
- Experience carrying out electrical risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures
Nice to Have
- Mechanical manufacturing knowledge (machining, laser cutting or 3D printing)
- Experience working with high-voltage or experimental systems
Why Apply?
- Join a highly innovative engineering environment working on complex, cutting‑edge technology
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams solving unique technical challenges
- Influence projects from concept through commissioning
- Modern laboratory and workshop facilities
- Genuine technical ownership and autonomy
- Long‑term career progression within a rapidly growing deep‑tech organisation
If you're passionate about electrical engineering, enjoy building sophisticated systems, and want to work on technology that few engineers ever get the opportunity to experience, I'd love to hear from you.
