Freelance Test Manager (m/f/d) – Long‐term project until the end of 2027
For an extensive large‑scale IT project , we are looking for several experienced freelance test managers (m/f/d) to support various feature teams.
We are not looking for pure test automation specialists or operational testers. We are looking for experienced test managers who can plan, coordinate, control and report transparently to management on complex test activities.
Tasks:
- Creation and further development of test concepts
- Planning and coordination of test activities within a feature team
- Control of component, integration, UAT/acceptance and regression tests
- Technical coordination of several test resources
- Control and tracking of test activities via Jira
- Documentation and versioning in Confluence
- Monitoring of test progress and quality gates
- Creation of regular test status and progress reports
- Preparation of test progress in Excel – at least 3x weekly
- Weekly release readiness reports incl. percentage evaluation of test progress
- Reporting to sub‑project management, delivery management and test management
- Identification and escalation of risks, blockers and delays
- Moderation and documentation of escalation appointments
Requirements:
- Several years of experience as a test manager / test lead / test coordinator
- Demonstrable experience in complex large‑scale IT projects
- Very good knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Excel
- Experience with integration, UAT, and regression testing
- Strong reporting and stakeholder management
- Experience with quality gates and release approvals
- Ability to coordinate multiple testers and testing activities in parallel
