Industrial Automation Engineer

Industrial Automation Engineer | PLC Programmer | Immediate Start | 12 Month Contract | Hybrid | Munich

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to support a high-impact project in an industrial manufacturing facility. The focus is on the automation of AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems), including conveyor systems and related process equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for industrial manufacturing processes
• Program and configure control systems including PLCs and DCS (PCS7, DeltaV)
• Work with Siemens systems and TIA Portal for integration and optimization
• Troubleshoot automation-related issues and support maintenance teams
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in PCS7, DeltaV, and other DCS platforms
• 5+ experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal
• Strong PLC programming skills (ladder logic, structured text, etc.)
• Experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Fluency in German (B2 level or higher) required
