IT Administrator - BW Area - Up to €75,000 (d / m / w)
Responsibilities
- Analyze system and monitoring data to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions aimed at improving network performance and reliability
- Manage and maintain security-related network configurations, including firewalls, VPN access, user permissions, and the application of security updates
- Support the deployment of new networking technologies and infrastructure components, contributing to rollouts, migrations, and broader IT projects
- Oversee the administration and operation of network and communication environments, covering LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall systems
- Monitor network performance and availability, independently diagnosing and resolving technical incidents to ensure stable operations
- Produce and update technical documentation, such as network topologies, configuration records, and operational guidelines
Desired Skills and Experience
- Completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 3+ years as an IT administrator
- Experience in network and communication infrastructures, including knowledge of VPN, routing, firewalls, LAN/WAN/WLAN, etc.
- IT security, such as system hardening, firewalling, network access, etc.
- Fluency in German & English is mandatory
- Candidates must be clear of any government, defense, or security-related employment restrictions
