For an exciting and long-term project environment in the banking/finance sector , we are looking for an experienced Defect Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen a newly emerging team in Cologne / Köln.
The team is currently being set up and is expected to grow to around 10 employees by Q4 . In this position, you will take on a central interface function between an IT service provider and its end customers from the banking environment . You will not only be responsible for operational defect management, but will also be actively involved in the further development of the team.
- Establishment and control of the entire defect management
- Setting up and developing Jira boards and processes
- Monitoring, prioritizing, and tracking bugs
- Control of retests
- Facilitating daily defect management meetings
- Reporting of defect status and identification of release risks
- Support for release approvals based on defined risks
- Close coordination with product owners, project management and stakeholders
- Support for deployment and environment coordination
- Ensuring transparent and structured defect processes
- Participation in candidate interviews and support in building the future team
Your profile:
- Several years of experience in defect, test or release management
- Very good knowledge of Jira
- Practical knowledge of Playwright is important
- Experience in complex software/IT projects
- Banking/FinTech experience is an advantage
- Very good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, independent way of working
