Technical Lead – Full Stack & Cloud Engineering

Are you an experienced Technical Lead who enjoys shaping engineering teams, defining technical direction and remaining hands-on with modern cloud technologies?
We're supporting an innovative software company undergoing a major transformation of its enterprise cloud platform and are looking for a Technical Lead to drive architecture, engineering standards and feature delivery across a highly skilled development team.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for a team of Full Stack and Cloud Engineers.
- Own the technical roadmap and architectural direction of a large-scale cloud platform.
- Drive end-to-end feature ownership from design through deployment and production optimisation.
- Mentor developers through code reviews, best practices and technical coaching.
- Define engineering standards, CI/CD processes and DevOps workflows.
- Work closely with Product Owners and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead cloud-native development using Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Champion performance optimisation, scalability, security and software quality across the platform.
- Introduce AI-assisted development practices and modern engineering methodologies.
Your Background
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams or acting as Technical Lead.
- Strong commercial experience with Python and TypeScript/Angular.
- Excellent understanding of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Docker, Terraform and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of API development, databases and distributed systems.
- Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and building high-performing development teams.
