What you’ll do
We are seeking an IT Data Center Associate (f/m/d) to join our 24/7 shift team as a Server and Database Administrator (f/m/d). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in supporting SAP systems and managing internal business and support systems.
- Database administration
- Support, maintenance and optimization of relational database systems such as SAP HANA, MSSQL, ASE
- Installation, configuration and monitoring of databases
- Ensuring database availability and performance
- Collaboration with 3rd level support in the event of faults and problems
- Server administration
- Administration and operation of servers (Windows, Linux)
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of server applications
- Monitoring server performance and availability
- Support with troubleshooting and escalation to the 3rd level team
- Documentation
- Maintenance of operating instructions and documentation
- Recording fault reports and solutions
- Communication
- Close cooperation with other IT teams and specialist departments
What you bring
- Completed training or studies in the field of computer science or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in database and server administration
- Good knowledge of at least one of the following database systems: SAP HANA, MSSQL or ASE
- Experience with Windows and Linux servers
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 shift system
- Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Fluent English language skills oral and written, German is a plus
