YOUR FUTURE ROLE
The Payroll Consultant (f/m/d) is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for all entities within Germany. In addition, we participate in both global and local projects to continuously improve our services, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to perform Payroll Associate tasks, including competencies in tax, social security, maternity, paternity, etc.
- Provide expert advice and support to customers, peers, stakeholders, and managers on country-specific topics, policies, and local laws.
- Act as an escalation point for non-standard cases and processes.
- Conduct evaluations and reports to ensure compliance with legal requirements and audits for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with third parties and external authorities.
- Monitor defined audit points of payroll transaction services to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Support the implementation of payroll relevant project activities.
- Apply standard global processes and controls while remaining flexible to reflect country-specific specifics such as the local payroll calendar, guidelines, and legal requirements.
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum 2 years working experience in payroll administration.
- Working knowledge of German Payroll law, practices, and processes is mandatory.
- SAP payroll system knowledge (HCM) is preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken English and German skills.
- Experience working within an HR customer-oriented environment is mandatory.
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) knowledge.
- University degree or comparable education/experience preferably in Payroll Accounting, Business, or Human Resources Administration.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Payroll Germany team is responsible for the monthly accurate and timely processing of all SAP employees located in Germany for all entities. The team consists of 19 employees (full/part-time mix) who are mainly located in Walldorf and process the payroll and all supporting tasks to ensure compliant payroll processing. The team is professionally engaged, supportive, inclusive, and collaborative.
