What you’ll build a) Customer-Focused Outcomes

As a Principal SAP AI Consultant (f/m/d), you have the ability to deliver projects and services in a fast-paced environment when required, and you will be a key driver of customer value delivery, translating SAP AI architectural blueprints into fully functional, scalable, and production-ready solutions.

Specifically, you will

• Lead enterprise-wide transformation programs and strategic initiatives that enable customers on their journey toward the Autonomous Enterprise
• Implement AI solutions within SAP systems to enhance business processes and decision-making
• Identify high-value use cases and design AI solutions that deliver proven business outcomes
• Delivery AI Service of SAPs Success Plans to the customer
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions through workshops, prototyping, and iterative delivery
• Collaborate with customers across the delivery lifecycle (workshops, reviews, UAT) to refine and optimize solutions
• Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performing AI powered applications on SAP Business AI Platform
• Utilize SAP BTP services such as SAP Generative AI Hub, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Business Services, SAP Integration Suite etc. to develop innovative solutions.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across SAP, customers, and ecosystem partners to maximize business outcomes b) Functional Contributor for the Team

Beyond individual delivery, you will play an important role as a technical, strategic, and organizational leader within the team. Specifically, you will:

• Mentor and support consultants through knowledge sharing and technical coaching
• Establish coaching frameworks and knowledge-sharing mechanisms that accelerate delivery excellence
• Contribute to pre-sales by developing and presenting Po Cs and technical demos showcasing SAP AI capabilities
• Support Agile delivery processes (e. g., sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation) with strong technical input
• Stay current with SAP AI and broader AI ecosystem trends, driving continuous innovation within the team

What you bring a) Education & Track Record

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Information Systems, or a related field and 10+ years in principal technical customer-facing roles
• Proven track record in consulting or customer-facing roles, including SAP BTP and/or AI/ML engineering in enterprise SAP environments
• Proven track record of delivering SAP AI solutions across full project lifecycles
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives with measurable business impact
• Professional fluency in German
• Professional fluency in English b) Core Architecture & Engineering Skills
• Proven experience as a Lead Architect, Principal Architect, Chief Architect, or Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in AI, ML and Gen AI
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture principles and proven ability to design robust integration architectures
• Hands-on experience with Joule and SAP Generative AI capabilities
• Hands-on experience in SAP BTP development
• Proficiency in SAP CAP for building scalable, cloud-native applications and AI-enabled services
• Understanding of S/4HANA extensibility patterns (side-by-side, in-app, key-user) aligned with Clean Core principles
• Solid API development skills (REST, Open API, versioning) and SAP API Management c) SAP AI & Agentic AI Skills
• SAP AI, Agentic AI & Generative AI Expertise
• Hands-on experience with SAP AI Foundation, including model deployment, serving, and workflow orchestration
• Experience with SAP Generative AI Hub for managing LLM providers (e. g., Azure Open AI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI)
• Agentic AI & Multi-Agent Systems
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI frameworks (e. g., Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Auto Gen, Crew AI)
• Experience designing multi-agent architectures (task orchestration, state management, delegation, error handling)
• Ability to build conversational AI systems with context management, memory, and multi-turn interactions
• Familiarity with SAP Joule integration and extending it with custom skills and agents
• Generative AI & LLM Engineering
• Strong prompt engineering skills (e. g., few-shot learning, prompt chaining, context optimization)
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures (chunking, embeddings, vector search, retrieval strategies) c) Data & Integration Skills
• Proficiency in SAP BDC, including data product design, data integration, and use of Datasphere data in AI pipelines
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite (e. g., Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh) to connect AI services with SAP processes
• Proficiency in SAP Cloud Connector and Destination Service for secure connectivity between BTP and backend systems e) Soft Skills, Project Management Skills & Leadership Skills
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement at C-level and board level
• Ability to explain complex SAP AI concepts to both business and technical stakeholders
