What you’ll do:
SAP aims to develop an Open Reference Architecture (ORA) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security. This reference infrastructure shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.
SAP will be working on the publicly funded project with both experienced employees from its existing workforce and new hires. Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates. If you are interested in Cloud Operating System development and operation, the usage and further development of Open-Source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability you should consider applying.
As a cloud native Senior Developer/ Development Expert (f/m/d), you will closely collaborate with your team members to design and implement a modern and harmonized continuous delivery approach with state-of-the-art toolchain. The stack will cover all aspects of a highly automated, low touch, secure and compliant software lifecycle.
Here are some items of your daily work:
- Develop a distribution and installer for software on a Kubernetes platform
- Take end-to-end ownership from design, development, testing to rollout
- Develop automations to streamline processes and operations
- Contribute to open-source projects
What you bring:
- Degree in Applied Sciences, preferably in Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm
- Excellent programming skills in Golang
- Familiar with Git, open-source, and Linux
- Min. 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering
- Very good English skills written and spoken
- Ability to approach complex problems systematically along with a sense of ownership and drive.
