Job Title :

Harness Design Engineer

Location : Ingolstadt, Germany

Constructive designing of assemblies or complex individual parts Performing defined design tasks within predefined concepts.

Main activities:

• Consideration of manufacturing-related issues/repair possibilities for internal producibility as well as the product's assembly feasibility at the customer's site.

• Constructive designing of connections between components/assemblies or complex individual parts while considering existing individual functions and elements.

• Adherence to design guidelines, processing instructions, and applicable standards.

• Standardization of parts with comparable functions.

• Development of drafts into manufacturing-ready drawings.

• Designing components, assemblies/assemblies/simple machines according to internal requirements, drafts, sketches, and specifications.

• Constructive examination and determination of form designs, dimensions, tolerances based on drafts/specifications.

• Elaboration and coordination of designs considering defined manufacturing techniques, given materials, and technical standards.

• Processing design changes (e.g., obtaining and checking necessary design documents, examining feasibility and functionality, coordinating or proposing design changes, etc.); acting as a local point of contact.

• Preparation of documents.

• Implementation/coordination of design results into technical lists considering the numbering system and product-specific characteristics.

• Performing calculations for dimensioning of parts and assemblies to be designed using predefined formulas and tables.

Requirements:

• University degree with 2+ Years of professional experience.

• Conceptualizing/designing solutions for various issues including in-depth analysis of the situation/problem causes.

• Tools : Catia V5, KVS/Connect, VOBES Process

• Knowledge in automotive electrical systems.

• Proficiency in English, German is a big plus.
