For a major client based in Zurich, we are looking for a Data Engineer for the Data Science Platform team within the cloud center of excellence in the application platform department.
Tätigkeiten:
- Designing, implementing, and consulting on public cloud data science services
- Being part of an international team that envisions and implements the roadmap of a mature Azure cloud-based Data Science Platform (DSP)
- Support the lifecycle of the DSP which is offered as a service towards internal stakeholders by supporting features from data ingestion to reporting
- Developing its infrastructure closely and collaborating with the DSP Engineering team to support use cases and enhance DSP setup
Anforderungen:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a similar role
- Multiple years of experience with building data pipelines and their infrastructure on public cloud services and platforms like Microsoft Azure (our primary cloud service provider) and/or Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in Hadoop and Spark-based environments, especially Databricks
- Strong software development skills with proficiency in data transformation languages (such as Python, SQL, and Scala), infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automation concepts to enhance the maturity of DSP, proven knowledge of cloud foundation services (networking, security, storage, and IAM), their operation and configuration options
- Open-minded and proactive learning and development attitude to work with highly motivated engineers
- Fluent English (verbal and written) is required
