Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) in Berlin

Since 1999, we have been developing and operating high-performance CRS and caching technologies for the professional distribution of travel services. Our work focuses on data quality, performance and a reliable system architecture. Our CRS technology integrates supply sources, booking logic and front-ends into a seamless system landscape. Through close integration with the Travelsoft Group’s technologies, we develop solutions that are scalable and future-proof, even on an international scale.

Your responsibilities

• You will be responsible for quality assurance of our CRS and booking systems, in particular our Connector API, the headless application CosmoNaut and our Internet Booking Engine (IBE), and will continuously further develop our test strategy
• You will lead the transition from manual testing to a largely fully automated quality assurance process and, to this end, establish a scalable test automation framework
• You will plan, coordinate and manage all testing activities, ranging from integration, API and contract tests, through end-to-end testing of complete booking flows, to regression, load and performance tests
• You will integrate automated tests as mandatory quality gates into our CI/CD pipelines
• You will establish automated data quality checks in our import processes for quotation data (e.g. completeness, duplicates, consistency across environments)
• Together with the development team, you will define standards for unit tests and testability, and incorporate quality requirements at an early stage into the design and code reviews
• You will develop realistic test data for tourism scenarios such as occupancy, prices, availability, and booking and cancellation processes
• You will work closely with the development and support teams
• You will define quality metrics, analyse the causes of errors and derive measures for process improvement

You will be responsible for release approvals and will ensure the stability, performance and data quality of our systems in live operation

Your profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years’ professional experience in quality assurance or test management for software products, with independent responsibility for managing test activities in complex projects
• Proven experience in setting up test automation
• Very good knowledge of automating API and front-end tests
• Experience in testing REST APIs and decoupled or headless front-ends
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerised test environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, test design and test management – ISTQB certification would be an advantage
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience in the tourism sector or with CRS, booking or distribution systems is a major plus
• (Very) good written and spoken German and English
