We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Biospecimen Specialist to support biospecimen acquisition, management, and biorepository operations for one of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage biological sample processing, registration, verification, shipment, return handling, retrievals, and inventory activities within a validated environment.
- Take ownership of end-to-end biospecimen acquisition and biorepository projects to fulfil specimen requests efficiently and on time.
- Maintain accurate sample records and documentation to ensure full biospecimen traceability and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with permitting agencies and internal stakeholders to support import/export activities and permit compliance.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of sample data and supporting documentation.
- Maintain information in validated Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other regulated systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish timelines and achieve project objectives.
- Support continuous adherence to quality standards, GxP principles, and industry best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Life Sciences with initial experience in sample management, biobanking, or a related area.
- Hands-on experience handling biological specimens and willingness to work with potentially infectious biological materials.
- Experience working with LIMS or other validated systems.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace.
- Strong understanding of biospecimen traceability, data integrity, and regulated working practices, with the ability to follow detailed procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
