- We are currently searching for a
Consultant/Project Manager (m/f/d) with specialisation in water & sanitation (engineering) to start as soon as possible in our
Headquarter in Bad Homburg.
Your tasks in brief
- Project Acquisition
- Tracking projects/early intelligence, research of background information.
- Contact to/networking with donors, clients, partners, and experts.
- Management and coordination of the acquisition process, including preparation of Expressions of Interest (Eo I) and technical proposals, staff recruitment and fee negotiations, identification of consortium partners, support to the preparation of financial proposals; and
- Organization and lead of fact-finding missions to the recipient countries.
- Project Implementation
- Management of projects from a technical and financial point of view;
- Coordination and supervision of water & sanitation and/or infrastructure projects;
- Interface to project accounting, including during periodic commercial project evaluation,
- Review and preparation of reports;
- Technical, administrative, and logistical support for the project team on site.
- Donor, client, partner, and expert management;
- Consulting Assignments
- Missions abroad (short- and medium-term) in international water & sanitation projects.
- A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
- Relevant academic degree (Master), preferably in a relevant technical field, such as civil engineering with a water focus, water resource management, or similar.
- At least 10 years’ experience in the water & sanitation sector, ideally in the consulting business as project manager for corresponding projects;
- Proven experience in the acquisition and management of water & sanitation projects;
- Knowledge of donor procedures and requirements, especially Kf W, GIZ and EU, is a plus;
- Generalist experience in several water subsectors, e. g. water or waste treatment plant design, urban water supply and distribution, water resource water management, sewerage and drainage systems ;
- Business fluent language skills in English; knowledge of French would be an advantage;
- Strong writing, communication, networking and team-working skills;
- Work experience abroad in target countries for development cooperation;
- Sound user knowledge of MS Office package; experience with CAD & GIS, AI application.
