ABOUT THE ROLE
At ERC, we are developing hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft for critical missions across uncrewed and crewed applications. Victor is our uncrewed heavy-lift cargo UAS for time-critical cargo, logistics, military resupply, and other critical dual-use missions. Charlie is our future crewed aircraft for passenger and patient transport, including air ambulance and interhospital transport.
In this role, you will identify and develop commercial opportunities and build long-term customer and partner relationships. Working closely with Commercial Leadership, Product, Engineering, and Flight Operations, you will turn customer needs into account strategies, go-to-market projects, partnership models, and concrete customer programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify, qualify, and strategically develop commercial opportunities across our priority customer segments, use cases, and target accounts
- Own selected key accounts from initial engagement through structured needs assessment, opportunity development, implementation projects, proposal generation, and long-term growth
- Drive customer and partner initiatives such as workshops, customer demonstrations, operational validation projects, and joint entry-into-service projects
- Coordinate externally facing projects across internal teams, keeping timelines, responsibilities, decisions, and stakeholder expectations under control
- Support the refinement of ERC’s commercial strategy by contributing customer and opportunity insights, market research, and competitor analysis
- Help translate customer and operator needs into mission concepts, product requirements, demonstration objectives, and commercially viable solutions in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Flight Operations
- Support the planning and execution of product demonstrations, trade fairs, and industry events; and represent ERC in customer meetings, demonstrations, trade fairs, and industry events.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience in business development, key account management, sales, management consulting, or a comparable high-pace, high-performance environment
- Proven experience building sustainable relationships with customers, partners, or other external stakeholders in complex industry environments
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional workstreams with clear structure, ownership, and follow-through
- Strong analytical and commercial judgment, including the ability to prioritize customer needs and business opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
- A structured, self-directed, and ownership-oriented working style in an entrepreneurial environment
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel.
Moreover, it would be helpful if you also
- have first experience in industries such as logistics, infrastructure, offshore operations, aviation operations, or adjacent markets
- bring aviation experience or strong technical curiosity for aircraft, UAS, eVTOL, autonomous systems, or complex tech products
- are familiar with military procurement processes, bring an active military network, or have formerly served in the armed forces
- speak German at C1 level or above.
