As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure), you will accompany our customers from conception, migration, transformation, and operation to the continuous further development of cloud-native platform solutions.

• Implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise.
• Automated provisioning and configuration of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep.
• Operation and optimization of services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), as well as the integration of tools like Kong and Apache Airflow.
• Ensuring compliance with security best practices and compliance requirements throughout the entire Azure environment, particularly in the areas of identity & access management, network segmentation, and monitoring.
• Documentation of systems and processes as well as active participation in defining standards and governance guidelines for cloud operations.
• Technical contact person for our customers and in 3rd-level support: You assist with complex incidents and support customers and internal teams with your expert knowledge.
• Close collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders in agile environments to ensure smooth processes and a successful DevOps culture.
• Technical support for our sales team in developing solutions: You bring your expertise to bidding phases and accompany customer presentations from a technical perspective.
• Consulting our clients on Azure cloud strategy as well as conducting workshops and trainings on cloud and DevOps topics to build knowledge and impart best practices.

What you bring with you

• Completed education or degree in computer science (e.g., Computer Scientist EFZ, Advanced Technical Certificate (HF), University of Applied Sciences (FH), or University) or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in a cloud engineering and DevOps environment, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
• Very good, practical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform and its services.
• Experience in the fields of DevOps and automation, in particular with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) as well as CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Confident handling of Linux systems and bash scripting.
• Good SQL skills and practical experience with PostgreSQL.
• Programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java or .NET are an advantage.
• Sound understanding of cloud security best practices (identity and access management, network security, monitoring) as well as ideally experience with DevSecOps approaches.
• Broad IT expertise in infrastructure and networking. You maintain an overview even in complex system landscapes and think across departments.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban, as well as a passion for taking on a coordinating role in cross-functional teams.
• High independence and a structured way of working, combined with resilience, flexibility, and a willingness to learn in a constantly changing environment.
• Friendly and communicative personality with a confident manner in customer environments as well as a strong ability to work in a team.
• Excellent German language skills (C2 level) as well as good written and spoken English skills (at least B2 level).
