We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Tech Lead AI DevOps / Infrastructure to holistically own and shape our technical foundation. This role is instrumental in establishing, scaling, and securing our entire cloud infrastructure, creating the bedrock upon which our product and engineering teams will thrive. You will lead a small, high-impact DevOps team, embodying a "player & coach" mindset to drive both technical execution and team development.
In the long term, your team will empower our engineering teams to efficiently ship products on a secure and scalable infrastructure, integrating an Agentic SDLC. This is an unparalleled opportunity to leverage cutting-edge AI in DevOps practices, automate complex operations, and prepare our Berlin office for the future evolution towards a Platform Engineering model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Contribute: Serve as a DevOps Tech Lead, actively contributing as a "player & coach" with direct leadership responsibility for a small team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
- Infrastructure Ownership: Take full ownership of the scaling, maintenance, and security of our entire cloud infrastructure, overseeing the ongoing migration and ensuring stable daily operations to lay the foundation for team and product growth.
- Process Excellence: Establish robust and structured processes for monitoring, uptime, backups and recovery, access management, security updates, and cost control, transforming existing organic systems.
- AI-Powered Automation: Strategically implement AI in daily DevOps tasks, including incident analysis, infrastructure-as-code generation, and runbooks, consistently automating repetitive operational tasks to maximize the impact of a small team.
- Developer Enablement: Ensure reliable and consistent DevOps support for both internal and external development teams.
- Future Planning: Prepare the team for its evolution towards a comprehensive Platform Engineering function at our Berlin location.
Eligibility & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Demonstrable initial lead responsibility, including architecture oversight, technical decision-making, and team mentoring.
