Head of Cost Estimation & Bidding Management in Construction (m/w/d) in Stuttgart

To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a strong, experienced leader for the position of Head of Cost Estimation & Bidding Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Disciplinary and functional leadership, management, and continuous development of the cost estimation team.
• Independent Cost Estimation: Comprehensive, precise, and timely estimation for demanding large-scale turnkey construction projects (volume ranging from €30 million to €60 million, in some cases up to €200 million).
• Strategy & Reporting: Close collaboration and direct reporting to executive management, alongside active participation in shaping estimation strategies (including forward-looking topics such as process innovation and AI implementation).
• Bidding Management: Reviewing tender documents for completeness, conducting detailed risk and opportunity assessments, and identifying potential optimizations.
• Negotiation: Competent management of contract negotiations through to final award.
• Master Data & Business Development: Ongoing maintenance and expansion of internal pricing databases, along with occasional support for project acquisition, including client meetings and industry events.

Candidate Profile

• Qualifications: A successfully completed degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Professional Experience: Several years of sound, practical experience in construction project estimation, site preparation, or construction management—ideally combined with initial leadership experience and proven expertise in total project estimation for turnkey construction.
• Software Competency: Proficient handling of industry-specific estimation software (preferably iTWO), Bluebeam, and the MS Office suite.
• Working Style: An independent, analytical, and goal-oriented approach characterized by a high commitment to quality.
• Personal Attributes: Strong team spirit, assertiveness, a confident professional demeanor, and fluent German language skills in both written and spoken form.
