Phare Consulting Group has taken on a series of cost and margin reviews for manufacturers in Germany, and we need a Junior Financial Controller on those projects. You will take a client's cost data apart product by product, compare actual figures with budget and show where the margin is lost. The position is full-time and fully remote within Germany. Our team sits in Miami, six hours behind German time, so most of your meetings with them are in the afternoon.

Day to Day
- Collect cost center, product and sales data from the client's accounting team
- Reconcile it with the financial statements before any analysis starts
- Build contribution margin and plan versus actual comparisons in Excel
- Explain the largest deviations in short written notes
- Prepare tables and charts for the client report
You Should Have
- A degree in business administration, economics or a related field
- An internship or first job in controlling, accounting or audit
- Excel, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP
Good to Have
- SAP CO or another ERP system
- Power BI
- Knowledge of cost accounting in manufacturing
