Network Field Support Engineer (Cisco Infrastructure) in Ludwigshafen am Rhein

Manning Global, an Internationally renowned staffing and managed services organization specializing in providing staffing solutions for leading corporations in AI, IT & Telecoms, Engineering, Digital Media, Automotive and Renewable Energy is recruiting for Network Field Support Engineer (Cisco Infrastructure) on behalf of one of their blue-chip international clients to join their organizationin the Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Our client is seeking a Network Field Support Engineer to provide onsite support for Cisco network infrastructure at customer locations in Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. The role involves hands-on installation activities, remote support coordination with the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC), and assisting in troubleshooting and operational activities.
  

• The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with Cisco networking equipment and be comfortable acting as the onsite technical representative supporting remote operations teams, project managers, and network engineers.
  

• Install and mount network devices in data center racks and network cabinets.
  

• Perform physical cabling and connectivity activities for network infrastructure.
  

• Act as the onsite "remote hands and feet" resource for the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC).
  

Support troubleshooting activities by:

• Connecting laptops to network devices.
  

• Establishing management access to devices for remote GNOC engineers.
  

• Executing basic diagnostic and verification commands.
  

• Reporting device status and troubleshooting findings to remote teams.
  

• Assist with network hardware replacements, migrations, and maintenance activities.
  

• Coordinate effectively with Operations Teams, Project Managers, and technical stakeholders located across global delivery centers.
  

• Maintain installation documentation and adhere to customer site procedures and safety requirements.
  

Experience/Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years of experience in Network Infrastructure Support, Field Services, or Data Center Operations.
  

• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking products.
  

• Good understanding of:
  

• Cisco Routers
  

• Cisco Switches
  

• Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC)
  

• Cisco Access Points
  

• Familiarity with network cabling, device installation, and basic network troubleshooting.
  

• Ability to execute and report results from standard network diagnostic commands.
  

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
  

• Experience working in enterprise IT or network operations environments.
  

Language Requirements

• English: Minimum B2 level (mandatory).
  

• German: Minimum B2 level (mandatory).
  

• The successful candidate must be comfortable communicating with international teams, including Operations Teams, Network Engineers, and Project Managers located across different regions.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
  

• Experience supporting Network Operations Centers (NOC/GNOC).
  

• Experience working in data center environments.
  

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure deployment and lifecycle processes.
