Backend Developer – App BFF / Integration in München

Manning Global, an Internationally renowned staffing and managed services organization specializing in providing staffing solutions for leading corporations in AI, IT & Telecoms, Engineering, Digital Media, Automotive and Renewable Energy is hiring for its own expanding team a Backend Developer – App BFF / Integration to join its managed services project in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
  

• Implement App BFF functionality and integrations with backend systems and APIs
  

• Implement authentication, authorization and secure service-to-service communication
  

• Contribute to automated testing, code reviews and continuous improvement of code quality
  

• Analyze and resolve backend and cross-layer defects, including issues across the App BFF, APIs and downstream systems
  

• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD, application deployment and operational topics for backend services
  

• Support production stability, monitoring and troubleshooting
  

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, React Native developers and other backend/integration teams
  

Experience/Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend software development, including 3+years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
  

• Experience in digital industries with complex customer journeys such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, utilities or e-commerce
  

• Strong experience designing and implementing REST APIs and backend integrations
  

• Experience working with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) or comparable API aggregation and integration layers
  

• Good understanding of authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth2 and OIDC
  

• Experience working with distributed systems and complex backend landscapes
  

• Experience building performant, stable and resilient backend services
  

• Experience with automated testing, Git and CI/CD
  

• Good understanding of application security, logging and monitoring, with experience using observability tooling such as ELK Stack or comparable solutions
  

• Experience with AI-assisted software development across the SDLC, for example for coding, unit test generation, refactoring, debugging or developer productivity, is a plus
  

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  

• Experience working in agile and international development teams
  

• Proficiency in English; German is a plus
