Licensing Optimisation SpecialistIndustry: International Manufacturing / Corporate ServicesContract Type: Freelance / ContractRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Licensing Optimisation Specialist to support a global organisation in reviewing, managing and optimising its corporate software licensing expenditure.The primary objective is to identify cost-saving opportunities, eliminate unnecessary licensing costs, improve licence allocation and establish effective governance processes across the organisation.The role is focused on licensing operations, cost optimisation, commercial analysis and business process improvement, rather than technical implementation.Key Responsibilities- Review existing software licence allocations, subscriptions and associated expenditure.- Identify unused, underutilised or unnecessarily expensive licences.- Recommend licence downgrades, reassignments, cancellations and removals to reduce costs.- Analyse licensing requirements across different business departments and employee groups.- Review licence allocations for permanent employees, contractors and external workforce members.- Identify opportunities to optimise licensing costs without affecting business operations.- Establish governance procedures for licence requests, approvals, allocation and removal.- Improve licensing processes associated with employee onboarding, internal transfers and offboarding.- Coordinate with finance, procurement and business stakeholders to validate licensing requirements.- Analyse licence usage and expenditure reports to identify inefficiencies and potential savings.- Track cost-saving initiatives and provide regular reporting on financial improvements.- Support the development of licensing policies, compliance procedures and operational standards.- Ensure appropriate licence allocation based on actual business requirements.Required Experience- Strong experience in software licensing management, licence optimisation or IT asset management.- Proven experience identifying and implementing licensing cost reductions.- Experience reviewing corporate software subscriptions and licensing agreements.- Understanding of licence allocation, reassignment, downgrades and removals.- Experience managing licensing requirements across large employee populations.- Knowledge of licensing governance, compliance and lifecycle management.- Strong commercial awareness and cost-analysis capabilities.- Experience working with finance, procurement and business stakeholders.- Strong analytical, reporting and process improvement skills.- Experience working in large international organisations.Nice to Have- Experience with enterprise-wide licensing optimisation programmes.- Exposure to external workforce and contractor licensing management.- Experience with employee joiner, mover and leaver processes.- Experience implementing licence governance and cost-control frameworks.- Background in global manufacturing or multinational corporate environments.Key ObjectiveReduce corporate software licensing expenditure through effective licence optimisation, improved allocation, elimination of unused licences and sustainable governance processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
