Your apprenticeship at ELA
DINER 72 is our modern company restaurant located on the grounds of ELA Container GmbH in Haren. Here, we serve our employees fresh, regional, and varied meals every day.
During your 3-year apprenticeship, you’ll work alongside experienced chefs—including colleagues with Michelin-starred kitchen experience. This way, you’ll learn everything you need for your career, step by step.
A special perk: You’ll work set hours from Monday through Friday—your evenings and weekends are all yours.
During your apprenticeship, you’ll learn, among other things:
- How to prepare fresh dishes and menus
- How to properly prepare and handle ingredients
- Modern cooking techniques
- How to creatively plate and present dishes
- How to help design menus for events
- Insights into fine dining and event catering
- How to reliably apply hygiene and quality standards

How You can apply
Information on the application procedure
- If you apply for an apprenticeship with us, you will receive feedback from us by e-mail in the month of your application, at the latest within four weeks. This will inform you whether we will invite you to an initial personal meeting.
- These meetings usually take the form of an individual interview at our head office in Haren (Ems). There you will also receive more detailed information about training at ELA.
