About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Software Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on application development to join our dynamic team in Konstanz. In this role, you will be integral to the development of software solutions for military communication systems, rugged hardware platforms, and monitoring and testing systems. Your responsibilities will encompass designing, implementing, and documenting robust applications that meet stringent security and performance standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, review system architectures, and ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions both in-house and on-site at customer locations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a highly specialized field, working with cutting-edge technologies and multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that enhance security and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, C#, or Python is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of application development processes, including requirements analysis, system architecture review, and testing. Experience with collaboration platforms, version control systems, and integrated development environments is required. Additional expertise in user interface design, networked systems, Linux-based development, platform integration, or information security is advantageous. First professional experience in a relevant environment is preferred but not mandatory. Fluency in German, both written and spoken, is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate a responsible, systematic approach to work, combined with creativity and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document application software tailored for military communication, rugged hardware platforms, or monitoring and testing systems.
• Conduct requirements analysis and participate in reviews of system architectures to ensure alignment with project goals and security standards.
• Integrate, test, and commission software solutions both internally and at customer sites to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Plan development tasks, including estimating timelines and resource requirements, to support project delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of software components within larger system architectures.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide ongoing support for deployed applications, including updates and troubleshooting.
